**Merk Alt site configuration manual **

Folders used -

The core is not contain any settings, all the settings are instance-dependent.

Some settings for merkalt site instance are carried out to a single file settings.inc.php, placed in includes subfolder in the site root directory. Editable config settings are stored in admin panel configuration manager. Other instance settings are stored in the set of xml files placed in xml subfolder of root directory. Payment methods settings are contained in DB, in *_payment_methods, *_payment_methods_details and *_payment_methods_settings tables.

XML files containing additional settings, depending on language and purpose of site instance:

aweber.xml contain language-dependent settings for AWeber sign up option representation in notification e-mails;
contact_us.xml contain the description of form data validation rules and the text of error messages and e-mail subject string for “Contact us” page;
discounts.xml include a sequence of amounts thresholds and discounts values;
email_settings.xml contain language-dependent settings which used for notification e-mail body forming;

colors.xml contain color names, prices and coloring schemas for rendering objects colors to be shown on main page and in e-mails.
backgroundColors.xml contain color names, prices and coloring schemas for background color to be shown on main page and in e-mails.

bottom_menu.xml contain settings for bottom (small gray) menu items on index (main) page of site;
menu.xml contain settings for main menu items on index (main) page of site;

messages.xml contain message strings for user notification (error and confirmation messages);
optimization.xml contain language-dependent settings for “label optimization” option representation in notification e-mails;
products.xml contain product names and prices to be shown on main page and in e-mails;
sendmail_submit.xml contain the description of ‘Tell a friend’ form data validation rules and the text of error messages and e-mail subject string for sendmail page;
simple_editor.xml contain the description of form data validation rules and the text of error messages and e-mail subject string for “Simple editor” page;
sets.xml contain amounts and prices of wristbands to be shown on main page and in e-mails (for idband project only).
sizes.xml contain sizes used for products.
